Wanda12_20_04.jpg

I think the hat says it all. As Christmas gets closer and closer that old bah humbug feeling gets higher and higher. Just driving through the local mall parking lot is enough to make me say bah humbug. So, I hope everyone has their holiday shopping done. Merry Christmas to all.

I have to give Myself credit on this one. I really wasn't feeling all THAT tired and cranky that day, but I managed to get an expression on My face that really does show how unamusing the holiday season can be at times. Maybe I have some potential as an actress? !!! (thinking about it) Nah, too camera shy! (laffin)

Know how you feel, I've been doing a photographic countdown to try and get in the mood... it's working slowly :-)

This is a great picture of Wanda who as always overwhelms things with her beauty.
Yet she looks sad here in this shot.
Mr. Bates your talent as a photographer is outstanding. I would hope you and Wanda continue to do something after the PAD thing is finished. So many of us have enjoyed her beauty and your talent..so many thanks and I hope you and Wanda have a very Merry Christmas and many happy returns.

This image is a tribute to all those underpaid, overworked employees who are on the frontlines of retail during the holiday season. Anyone who has ever worked a day of retail during the holiday season can relate to the feeling of "bah humbug". So next time you are out there doing your last minute shopping, remember to BE NICE to the clerk helping you. It's not their fault you can't find what you want at the price you think you should pay. They are tired, hungry, their feet hurt, their back aches and after working a 13 hour shift they still need to do their own Christmas shopping! So ask yourself this holiday season, "what kind of customer are you?" I hope you can answer that you are a happy, pleasant, friendly one.

Yes, … and what a beautiful ring it is too! Diamond and pigeon-blood ruby, … two of the most precious stones known to man mounted on a perfect circle of gold, … no beginning and no end, … the only metal that does not tarnish or corrode. It has been used for centuries to represent the love that a man has for his wife. “Bah Humbug” for the season? Perhaps, … but I prefer to think that it’s “Bah Humbug” for the commercialism and “gimmie gimmie” greed that the season now seems to have for so many people as well as “Bah Humbug” for the folks that just don’t seem to “get” the wonderful gift that we have been given in being able to share a tiny part of their life. Maybe that’s why Wanda appears so sad in the image. For me though, I don’t see the “Bah Humbug” anymore, but remember in love a son lost forever in death, … and appreciate all the more the magic and excitement for Christmas in the eyes of my children that still remain. My tree is decorated, … my home is happy and whole despite past heartbreak and sadness, … and I’m truly enjoying the love of this season.

For Ms. Wanda and Mr. Bill, I extend my heartiest and sincerest wishes for a wonderful and happy Christmas and a love filled New Year. With the deepest sincerity of my heart I thank you for allowing us to visit you in your home through the vicarious nature of all of these images.

During this time of year...Bah Humbug does raise it self...

Remember, even the worst of Scrooge ends with a smile on his face and lightness in his heart....

The Holidays bring Joy and Family...and not many of us will end up like the Nameless as Bob Marley, destined to carry their chains that they created themselves throughout eternity...

Merry Christmas Mrs. Claus...
