Wanda12_19_04.jpg

We have done the commercial end of the Christmas season. It was time to go for something more spiritual.

Throughout this project we were often asked how we came up with ideas for new images day after day. I have a confession to make on this one. The inspiration for this image was a result of the judgemental comments we had been receiving from one of our "guests". This individual had all kinds of nasty things to say about Me and the kind of person I was. So I thought I would really upset his sensibilities by posing for this image, after all, I clearly am not as pure as the virgin Mary. I thought the viewer would outraged! Instead, he LOVED it.

Wanda doesn't wear tinted lenses. Actually because this is a little over exposed her eyes appear a little lighter blue than normal.

I much prefer Wanda's lighter looking makeup in this shot, and her eye color seems a more natural shade of blue than usual. Does she normally wear blue-tinted contacts?

Love seeing wanda so natural.

Great Shot.

Hi Bill. Don't apologize..I look forward to your image each day, some I love, some I like, some I find technically excellent but of a lesser aesthetic quality (and that is simply a matter of personal taste!)..I guess what I'm saying is why apologize for a gift..that's what your PAD has been, whether intended or not. That said..I asked simply because I was hoping to see other treatments of an image that truly has a spiritual quality given the season and the intent. Take care.

Angelic and beautiful. Wonderful shot

Stunning shot Bill. Looks as if Wanda had her mind on the birth of Christ. Her eyes convey the miracle. The last few days have been great photos. Also love the 3D one. You both amaze me with your creativity and openess to new ideas. What will we do without you both next season? God bless and have a great holiday!

Bill, Wanda all I can say is stunning!

The only thing I could think of that might add to this image would be wanda holding a New Born. Then Wanda's eye's would be telling the story of the wonder of life at this fitting time.

Ps. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.

This is stunning! Not only are the light and color fantastic, but the look on Wanda's face is so wonderfully pensive. This has to be one of my favorites Bill and Wanda, thank you for your daily labor of love. I dread this year-long project coming to an end.

John, sorry but we only took about a half a dozen frames all with her in about the same pose.
Kenneth Zimmerman20-Dec-2004 14:30
Very well done, thanks for sharing and Happy Hoildays to the both of you.

I love the shot. Any from the session with her looking up? Any where you didn't lose quite as much in the whites in the lower edge of the frame? I love the subtle shadowing in the white toward the top...the last two days have been excellent examples of portraiture..well done. BTW...Wanda..I don't do whiskey "neat" either!

Bill, without a doubt I personally think you have out done yourself. Wanda looks simply beautiful in this image.

Very pretty picture. I like the natural look that Mom has in this one. Good job.
