Wanda12_04_04.jpg

This photo is from the end of the fourth day of our Southern California road trip. This is somewhere north of Malibu. The sunset made for a beautiful walk along the beach. It was cold and windy; but, I still had a hard time getting Wanda to come back to the car. Here is another from the same evening http://www.pbase.com/slowpokebill/image/37220006

This is one of My favorites. I like the way it triggers My memory and I can almost feel the ocean breeze on My face as I recall that walk along the beach. I found the cutest pine cone that had been washed up on the shore. I tossed the shells I had picked up and decided to keep the cone as My souvenir.

This pretty close to the real color...the sky may have been a touch pinker. I was really happy this came out. The sun had been down for a few minutes. To keep the sky on the horizon from being over exposed completely I had to under expose the foreground. In post processing I lighten the foreground back up to balance the exposure to reality. It was a fantastic sunset.

Natural color, Bill? This is a beautiful shot...love the light. Really sets the mood to me.
