New Years Eve 2010 Opus X.jpg

We wish you all a Happy New Year.

We're headed to dinner in a bit and then who knows what. I had planned to sit on the porch and enjoy an A. Fuente Opus X Perfecxion 5 and some Highland Park but is in the single digits outside so maybe another day.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM
1/30s f/3.5 at 70.0mm iso800 full exif

Bill, I would comment on your response to my comment, but I don't want Wanda to hit me. :-)

There are many things I might get Wanda to hold in a photograph but somehow I doubt it will ever be a cigar.

Only one thing is missing from that photo that would have completed a man's idea of heaven, and that would have been Wanda in a negligee holding the bottle and cigar for you :-)

I didn't spend a lot of time thinking about which body the 5D or 20D. The lens I needed was on the 20D and it was sitting on my desk; so, that is what I grabbed for this quick snapshot.

Just curious Bill... Sometime I see you shooting shots like this with your 20D when I know you have better (or should I just say newer?) cameras. Are there some subjects for which you prefer the 20D? I know myself, I have a new 50D and had upgraded from the 20. I see the new camera gives a much different look and one I'm not sure I like as well. I'm interested in your "two-bits" on this...

Good for you, sometimes you just need to sit on the porch, even if you have to bundle up. I sat in our hammock a couple of weeks ago with a winter jacket on and a rather large glass of Cabernet before I took it in for the winter.

You continue to inspire us, we hope you both had a Happy and Safe New Years, and may all your dreams come true in 2011.
