Payson Canyon snowshoeing 12_21_08.jpg

We had a break between snowstorms today so Wanda, timber and I slipped up the canyon behind the house and went snowshoeing along a natural gas pipeline clearing. It was a great hike!

Amazing scenery. I'd love to live somewhere near the mountains.

Bill, Wanda,
You are both so lucky to be able to enjoy such beauty. Please keep the pics coming.

It does look remote and in some ways it is. This photo was taken just a couple miles from our house. We live just the other side of the hills in the middle ground of the photo. About a half a million people live in the valley at the base of the mountains in the background. Here is the great part; most of those people never venture up the canyons to places like where I snapped this photograph. They miss so much of what is so close.
