What's on your reading list?

It was not until my children were grown that I developed a true love for reading... probably because there was little extra time to spare in our busy lives.

Today I relish the time spent with a good book. Miss Mollie, our little black pug, curls up at my side and she too has developed a great love of this pastime.

Generally... I prefer non-fiction, and some of my favorite books have been about "Médecins Sans Frontières" (MSF)... "Doctors Without Borders".
This is an independent international medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid in more than 60 countries to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters or exclusion from healthcare, regardless of religion or politics.

I like to think of it as... Doctors and Nurses Without Borders!
I so much admire what these people do with limited resources to promote humanitarianism.
It is the only organization that I support with donations on a monthly basis.
I believe in the work they do and if younger, would like to join their ranks!

On the road.... not much time for that. Photos, photos, photos, photoshop, posting. :)

At home I get 4 weekly newspapers, and when there, read them. Just can't stop my subscription, better than reading on a comp.

My old Plastic Surgeon gave up his practice to do just this. He said he was waiting to make sure everything went fine with me before he quit. Yeah, I'm betting he told all his patients that. He's doing a great job and I admire all the Nurses and Doctors who do this. It is quite fulfilling what I understand. btw....didn't have plastic surgery for cosmetic reasons....had reconstructive surgery after my radical mastectomy. Well, I guess it was for cosmetic reasons but not the usual variety so many people elect to do.

My favorite type of image! I always like to see what others are reading, particularly in the realm of non-fiction, which is what I prefer too. My interest in reading didn't develop until I was 21, when I had no choice but to read to do well in my coursework. This is nicely presented! Thanks for sharing.

I usually have Kit Kat lying next to me as I read. An interesting collection of reading material.

I worked when very young back in Honduras in a refugee camp serving salvadorian families. I still have nightmares occassionally remembering the time there.
