Leftovers for dinner...

We recently saw the movie "Julie and Julia" and it must have inspired my husband (who likes to cook) to make beef bourguignon.
Last night the house smelled wonderful when I came home from work.

Tonight I am fixing leftovers. I am serving the beef bourguignon over a grilled portobello mushroom that is filled with garlic mashed potatoes,
and served with brussel sprouts and sliced tomatoes.
Bon Appétit!

There are certain dishes we make around here that are deliberately made so there are left overs. I like this idea and the photo.

Good eats for leftovers. Sometimes things get better with a day or two in the fridge.

Pretty good looking left-overs Fay. Yes I agree, a lot of meat dishes taste better after a day of marinating in their own juices.

Excellent dinner! Agree with Laine, beef bourguignon is even better the next day... and brussels sprouts can be delicious (yours look great). Lots of sprouts are grown here in coastal Northern California so we get them nice and fresh.

You can have the brussel sprouts....not for me....but the beef, mushrooms, carrots and tomatoes look delicious! My leftovers will consist of left over pizza and cinnamon sticks.

WHOA! Now that's my kind of meal. I must try the beef bourguignon and grilled portobello mushroom combination. It sounds great together. Thanks for the tip. Very scrumptious looking image Fay.
