Another example of how...an apt comment can allow us to construct a particular meaning. As for Daves comment, it particularly riles me that a well known shoe company 'doctors' its workers here in Thailand and pays only 200Baht for a 12 hour day....come the revolution they will be on top of my list. well done Kal . Of course, the low pay laws are ignored by a few here in the UK. But world economics dictate the importation of goods and services from low wage economies which promote expoitation and global warming as a result.

yes, and this could be just about any franchise in Thailand. I never thought so much about similar scenes back in England but here I have come to know exactly how little such people earn and the ridiculous hours they work. There are laws in England to protect people to some extent and provide minimum wages/benefits but here even larger world reknowned companies squeeze people for all they can get.
