While I don't sense any desperation here (you are obviously bringing your own experience with the subject into play in giving it this title) I am intrigued by the image itself. The colors, textures and sheer numbers of instruments are fascinating, and your low angle has enveloped him. He seems oblivious to all of this, lost in a dream. He is obviosly trying to sell his product offering you its sound, but I sense indifference, resignation, almost boredom. It reminds me of an image I made a few years in a Russian market. It also makes a good environmental portrait -- and in that sense, it reminds me of another one of my own pictures I made in Chendu.
