The snail crawls over the most tortured path.Pressing its flesh against the harsh unforgiving way.How may years has it toiled? But not farther than a stone's throw. With its shoulders curled downhill.Bowing to the toil of a lifetime. As a pebble rolled smaller and smaller within the palm of elemental adversity.Yet it must move and perservere for its own sake.

;-) Down to the lamp at the top left in both images...I'm blown away...Great!

Yes, you are right - our images are very similar ! ( http://www.pbase.com/image/33502900 ). As Phil Douglis remarks they both tell the same story! Even the houses are in a similar condition.

This works great. Plenty of good context and architecture too...

This is much stronger than the closeup you took of her. It really tells her story -- she has come so far, and by implication has a long way yet to go. The envrionment seems as frayed and worn as she is. A wonderful blend of subject and context, beautifully composed and executed.
