Mummy, Cairo Museum

I also saw some unwrapped, but somehow that felt wrong.
My conscience sat easier as I looked at this one.

A version of this picture is available to buy in a variety of sizes from SerenityPhotography.co.uk.

Fascinating image. Voted. I would love to visit Egypt and soak in all of its history.

Great in a stragely weird way. The only distraction is the upper right corner. You could clone it out in Photoshop or just crop a tiny bit off the top to get rid of it. I like the image.--Rene

They were creepy; they even had hair and nails intact, which I found unbelievable. As the Egyptians place so much emphasis on preserving the bodies so the spirit could use them in the afterlife, I couldn't help but wonder what they would have thought about being laid bare in a museum for people (like me!) to gawp at. Not a lot, I would imagine!
