My longtime friend, since college days at LSU, Harry Lee, died this morning after being diagnosed with leukemia in April. When I took this picture I could feel Harry's spirit leaving us. Harry fought every step of the way and as late as Saturday had taken his grandson fishing.
When I saw this bright red sunset yesterday I tried to get to the lake to get a better photo but traffic was too heavy. Harry was a first generation Chinese to New Orleans and the sun when I saw it yesterday was Chinese red. Harry was in the hospital on a respirator fighting for his life which ended this morning.
