Considered the oldest house in New Roads, Louisiana, it is located at 507 East Main Street. It was the primary house of the Francois Samson Plantation and was placed on the National Register in 1978.
Towering over the house in the back is a registered live oak named "The Francois Samson Oak" and it measures 28 feet 6 inches in girth.
