Louisiana's Great River Road Gallery

Following the Mississippi River the Great River Road borders the levees and meanders as it winds and curves its way through the lush countryside of Louisiana. In cities such as New Orleans and Baton Rouge it is a little more structured. However, in the River Parishes it is a setting for some of the most beautiful homes and gardens in the world.

What a wonderful collection! The Keller's Homeplace in Hahnville, were relatives. I always looked forward at Christmas for a tin of "Rocks" and loose pecans. Thanks Pamela Hinchcliffe.

A wonderful gallery, Coleen. The Great River Road starts in Minnesota, for a long time I've wanted to travel it's full length, but, I suppose it's getting too late to think about such things. V.

Planning to visit Baton Rouge soon, and wondered which plantations to visit. This helps tremendously. Of course, it makes me want to visit all of them! Beautiful collection.
