The spot where "The Ladykillers" was filmed.

Over Copenhagen Tunnel

The bridge carries the North London Line.

I am standing in a small paddock with a couple of horses and some other animals.
The site was used in 1954 for the filming of the Ealing Comedy "The Ladykillers"
with Katie Johnson, Alec Guiness, Peter Sellers, Herbert Lom, Cecil Parker and Danny Green.

I love contempary pics like this that relate to the same place and how it was years gone by. I haven't seen The Ladykillers for a few years but I liked that for its snapshot of time. And 1954 was a special year! You too have caught a train at a point in time and you've done well to create a photo from such a vantage point!
