John Warner established ***a trading post *** in the high desert East of San Diego in the 1830’s, which was the only inhabited stopping place between New Mexico and Los Angeles for wagon trains, gold seekers, soldiers and the Butterfield stagecoach line.
Today Anne (aka Millie’s Mom) and I drove to Warner Springs to join Michele and Ed and their family and friends for a delightful Christmas dinner.
Ed took this shot. Below is my black and white of him enjoying his meal.
