Chasing the Perfect Flower with Herb

Del Mar, CA

On day 3 of fixed focal length lens day I was lured down to Del Mar by Herb to capture this unusual flower. The full version of it is in my 11th and Camino Del Mar gallery.

That gallery which I would like to lure you to see is all 50mm shots taken today; most of them while waiting for Herb. I was doing my thing by trying to see what the fixed length lens would do while standing in ONE SPOT or with in 15 feet thereof.

Wonderful.... looks like the top of a ski hat I used to own. I am curious.... did you have to brighten this one a lot or is this pretty close to how it was shot? Its very nice, Robin. I'd like a drop more focus but even as is its a beauty
