Harborside Condos

San Diego Bay

My debate about this one was how close should I crop the buildings. This is a considerable crop..

The condos line the western edge of downtown San Diego and have a lovely view of the harbor (and other condos) ;-)

interesting crop, almost Gurskyeske! ( Gursky is a famous German photographer)

Tough one for me to pick the crop. I like seeing how many of them are here, for the sake of interest in buildings and leasing, but I might like a tighter view for photography's sake. Neat work, great reflections add to it!

Makes for an interesting design and abstract. But, I couldn't ever live in one of those.....I need my space and green around me. And, I like to BBQ. :)

I too prefer open space and not how many people we can get on square foot of land! I wonder how many condos are here. Very well done, Robin.

Wow, that sure is a collection, wonder how one finds one's accommodation! v

Strong crop.

I wonder if they can arrange a code or series of signals to each other, though I suppose everyone is glued to a mobile phone these days! Excellent shot of the repeating patterns, but I'm sure I would go mad if I lived there!!

Amazing image , the crop is well done!

The monotone makes this! Nice isolation of the repetitive design elements.

Great photo... but not a great place to live.. few too many neighbours!!

Zig-zagging my eyes through this.

Oh dear, this is beginning to remind me of European block apartment buildings.... Great for the Challenge, but I wouldn't want to live here....
Kerry Tingley16-Jul-2011 18:56
Too crowded for me! A beautiful shot though.

The crop is perfect. This why I live in city of 150,00, for me, this way too many bodies in too little space.

This crop really shows the number of condos and the density so well. I've been wanting to shoot this at night.

I like your crop Robin, specially with the low building showing us some sky!! Nice lines and shapes!!
