Pictured above is the wiring for Shibumi's hot water heater. You may remember our pesky water heater that sprung a leak at the end of March.
If you don't remember... Follow This Link

We were in the Exumas at the time; not the ideal place to purchase and install a new marine water heater. So we found a 5 gallon solar shower (thanks to Ann and Jim on the sailing vessel "Bee's Knees"). The solar shower warmed water with the rays of the sun and provided ample hot water for our daily showers. We boiled water on the galley's propane stove to wash dishes. Cold water sufficed for everything else.
Now that we are back home, I decided to remove the old heater to make room for a new one.

The old one still looks pretty good, for a 15 year-old gadget. But looks don't count... if it is going to take up space on Shibumi it must perform... this one has to go.

Nicely done. We use a solar shower (probably the same model) for showers in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. (BWCAW.)

ha-ha!!

"if (you are) going to take up space (you) must perform... (or you have) to go.

...sounds like my employer, sigh, I remember the good old days, I had a lot of clout then,
and my supervisor wasn't 18 years younger and a cocky SOB.

Nice one Dave, what we call a waste of space.
