North Eleuthera, in the central Bahamas, is separated from the rest of the island by a thin sliver of land known as 'The Glass Window". Originally The Glass Window was a natural bridge that crossed a divide where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Bight of Eleuathera in the Exuma Sound. Today, a man-made bridge has replaced the natural arch that was carried away during a storm 150 years ago. |
