But as someone who lives on the water, I see subtle changes in the weather, changes that other cruisers have notice too. Strong relentless wind and an atmosphere that is unstable has been the hallmark of this winter's Bahamian weather. I understand other areas in this hemisphere are seeing instability too. |  |
 | We are anchored in Elizabeth Harbor near Georgetown, Exuma. For the last week the wind has been stirring up the seas outside of the harbor. That makes it very undesirable to venture out to Exuma Sound. Leaving the harbor would subject the boat and crew to a fetch of water that has been pushed by the wind from way up in the North Atlantic. There is no sign that the wind will let up until "maybe" next Wednesday. So we wait. There are about two hundred other cruising boats waiting here with us. |
Global warming? I don't know.
