As Above, So Below
You are looking at clouds reflected on the Altantic Intra-Coastal Waterway. We thought we would have motor-sailed on this stretch of river this morning, soon after I completed my doctor's appointment. However, our departure will be delayed.

My doctor recommended that I not leave the country for several months without, first, having a minor sugical procedure conducted. OUCH! That hurt, but I reluctantly agreed. We scheduled surgery for Friday the 19th (day after tomorrow). He says no travel for five days thereafter... so it appears it will be at least another week before we get underway.

It is just as well that we waited... I received the following message two hours after I scheduled Friday's surgery:
A Wind Advisory and High Surf Advisory are in effect. Winds are expected to be between 20 to 30 mph inland and 25 – 35 mph along the coast with gusts over 40 mph possible. Periods of rain will develop later today. Surf conditions will become dangerous with breakers approaching 8 feet by this afternoon and evening. Minor beach erosion and minor tidal flooding may occur near times of high tide. Conditions should start to slowly improve after midnight tonight.
Someone up above is watching over us... As above, so below.

Sorry to hear about the surgery. I guess the old saying "no great loss without some small gain" goes without saying. Hope you're better soon, I'd hate to think you're missing sailing season. -BJ
