Pictures like this and worse make us think about our eco-harming habits. Great documentary shot.

Not pretty, but well seen and shot.

My sister (9 years younger) was born in Charleston during a flood. Dad had to carry mom to the hospital several blocks through knee to hip deep flood water.

The reflection is pretty, not the reason.

Bath for their lives, Jen ;-)

We have a small town in this area called Franklin . . . . it's near the Blackwater River which is not known for overflowing it's banks. Normally it is about 50-60 feet wide at it's broadest point. It crested yesterday at 23 feet over its banks and was over half a mile wide at that depth. Franklin has been under water for the second time in 7 years . . . . and THAT hasn't happened there for more than one hundred years! These pictures remind me of that little town right now.

Good for our eyes, bad for their lives.
