This is Smorgasboat.
Smorgasboat runs on electric golf cart batteries.
The operator says he can run up to 14 hours on one overnight battery charge.
They provide an outstanding service in and around Boot Key Harbor.
They are primarily a water-taxi, carrying people who have boats at anchor to various spots on shore.
However they also deliver water, ice, daily newspapers, and fresh muffins to boats anchored in the harbor.
As time permits, Smorgasboat will also run other errands.
In these pictures, Jill is taking Smorgasboat ashore to do some shopping,
something she likes to do without me tagging along trying to hurry her up.
Besides, it was very windy today and Smorgasboat saved us from a kind of wet dinghy ride.
