If we only had the sophisticated cameras we now have back in 1990. First encounter with real MiG-21's during our first trip to the German Democratic Republic. Thrilled we were to discover nice line-ups of MiG-21's at Rothenburg, belonging to FAG-(Flieger Ausbildungs Schule, or Pilot Training School) 15. This unit flew the older versions of the MiG-21 Fishbed until October 1990. Pictured are MiG-21SPS/US/UM's.
