F-4D's were no longer active with firstline USAF units in the mid-1980's, but several ANG and AFRES squadrons still were flying with these Vietnam veterans. One of these was F-4D 66-7705/SI of 170TFS IL ANG, seen landing at RAFG Wildenrath during a welcome deployment. Note the full serial presentation with four digits. At the time, grey camouflaged F-4D's were also deployed to Ramstein. Those were great days.
