Scientific name: Cyanerpes caeruleus (Linnaeus, 1758).
The Purple Honeycreeper is distributed throughout most of the Amazon and Orinoco Basins as well as the Guianas, Trinidad and the Pacific coast of Colombia
and Ecuador. They are found in the canopy and borders of humid forest and in clearings.
