Scientific name: Cosmopsarus regius (Reichenow, 1879).
Golden-breasted Starling is often called the "most beautiful of the African starlings". It is found in North-East Africa and in the arid acacia
of Somalia, Ethiopia, eastern Kenya and North-Eastern Tanzania. It feeds almost entirely on insects.
This bird is 10 inches and has a slim body with long a graduated tail. Their brilliant green, blue and violet upperparts and throat, contrast a
rich golden-yellow breast, belly and under-tail coverts. The eyes are pure white.
