Scientific name: Ducula bicolor (Scopoli, 1786).
This species of pigeon is found from the Andamans and Nicobars eastward to the Philippines, Moluccas and islands west of New Guinea.
They normally roost and breed only on small islands but are seen feeding on the larger island coasts. They frequently inhabit woods,
mangrove swamps and coconut groves.
