A Flower-of-an-hour (Hibiscus trionum) found growing in the lawn. Native to the eastern Mediterranean region, the plant now grows wild across North America. Its name comes from the fact the flower lasts only a short time. To know more about the plant go to http://www.missouriplants.com/Others/Hibiscus_trionum_page.html.
