FURX 7276 West

County Road 40, near Lucien, Oklahoma

A pair of SD40-2 locomotives, First Union Rail (ex-BNSF) #7276 and BNSF #8067, passing mile 515.6 with a ballast train. The train originated as BNSF 8067 North at Davis on the Red Rock Subdivision. At Otoe the power consist ran around the train and returned to Perry to continue west on the Avard Subdivision. Later in the evening the train will arrive at Shattuck on the Panhandle Sub. There the limestone ballast will be used in the double-tracking of the former Santa Fe Chicago-to-Los Angeles mainline.
