*istD & SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm test photo

Photographed with a SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 lens mounted on a digital Pentax *istD camera. It offers a comparsion with the SMC Pentax-M 40mm f/2.8 lens used in the previous photographs. Purchased to use with a SF1n, the 35-70mm is the lens I normally use with the *stD. Because of the size of the sensor (23.7x15.6mm) in the *istD, the focal length of the 40mm lens is increased by 1.5 to 60mm.

Some have commented the image taken with the 40mm lens is sharper. This is probably due to the method of focusing and metering rather than the lens. This photograph was taken using the auto-focus and metering features of the *istD camera.
