Mallard and American Black Duck

On this day I encountered an American Black Duck that was keeping company with a few Mallards and I tried to get a couple of shots of both species together. The two stems emerging from the water really frustrated me because the ducks kept close to them for the longest time and most of the time I couldn't frame a shot of the two without one being partially obscured by the stems. Eventually, however, the ducks moved on and I was able to get photos of them side-by-side without the stems in the way, but before they did I had an opportunity to get a couple of photos of the two species separated but not obscured by the stems, which I thought looked neat in an artistic way. Both species had their own side of the "tracks", it seemed!
