Saturday 6th August - Day 231

The Morris Men were in town again today - promoting the Dartmoor Folk Festival... There were troupes from Cornwall, Hampshire, Lancashire and the USA (didnt catch which state). Anywhere but Devon!

I wanted an image that captured the movement and dynamism of the dancing. I hope that this one has worked well.

Mind you, I still find Morris Men, in a way, scary... I think I may have been scarred as a child!

What on EARTH are Morris men?! OK, I have to google, BUT I still find this great, the movement is awesome, and I bet I would have been scared of them too!

Great motion shot, Lee. Reminds me of the Renaissance fairs and madrigal dinners they have around here once in awhile. I think that might scare me as a child, too!

You've really captured the movement here Lee. I think I know what you mean about Morris men, they sort of have an strange aura about them which relates to the past (if you know what I mean!)
