Bench on the Croquet Lawn

Sunday 15th May - Day 148

I managed an hour or so out at Castle Drogo this morning, mainly to view the Rhodedendron garden, but also to have a gentle walk around the formal garden area. Now, I don't know why the benches surrounding the croquet lawn are pink, but they are!

Here are a few more, not many Rhodedendrons though!

I love how the bench stands so vividly against everything around it. Nice score.

I really like the composition. The pink bench looks so regal.

Very well put together. The pink bench is saying "I'm here, please stay a while."

The red bench pops so out from the other surroundings. Almost appears misplaced. Great find.

Nice bench! I like the out of focus foreground too. Were you laying on your stomach for this shot?

My first thought was going to be to ask you if the bench was really that shade of pink!
