Multitoned growth

Wednesday 9th March 2005 - Day 81

I decided to explore a bit more this lunchbreak, and escaped to a local park... unfortunately I found little to inspire me... the sky was just toooooooo grey and the trees were still all bare, and I kept stepping in... ohhhh too much information.

Even when I did find something, I used way to large an aperture. As someone once said... live and learn.

And I drive back I saw Ostriches. Or emus. Honest.

Narrow country lane and no stopping places nearby but I now have it marked.

Nikon D70 ,Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom
1/80s f/4.5 at 70.0mm with Flash iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium large auto

I love the detail and the DOF in this. A terrific range of colors and textures.

OOOooo....I like these wonderful different colored moss(?) and the narrow DOF which really make the moss stand out. I know how you feel about seeing something great to photograph but can't stop. Hope you get to come back at another time for the ostriches!

At least the grey skies make for good colour saturation in this! Great detail.

This reminds me of biology and my final tomorrow lol. Very nice capture though. I like the yellow against this bark and the growth.

You've captured excellent detail here (and no macro lens in sight!) Nice composition and lovely out of focus background colours.

Beauty in small things. This is a wonderful macro shot.
I see things all the time on roads where there is absolutely no place to stop. I'm looking forward to seeing your emu/ostrich shots.

This is so beautiful--a bouquet of fungi.

I am amazed, you were able to find brilliant color in the browns of March. Excellent detail; your image pops.
