New found friend

Sunday 20th February 2005 - Day 64

Up well before dawn this morning to try and get a sunrise. This didnt quite work out, as there was the usual bit of cloud hanging right where the sun came up, but I do have something to post :)

Walking back to the car, I went through a group of about 20 Dartmoor ponies, all grazing. This one, was very inquisitive, maybe it wondered if I had some food for it. Sadly for it, no I didn't.

Back indoors now and nice and warm lol.

Lee this is a remarkable shot. The combination of soft lighting, soft mane, and wide angle (but in portrait format) gives this a refreshingly new look. Beautiful colors (err, colours for you Brits)

Nice shot of the pony. The warm lighting, the fuzziness of his coat, the bit of mane hanging in his eyes ... all very appealing. The closeness reminds me of the horse shot I did recently. I felt bad enough about not bringing food that I've been carrying a bag of carrots in the trunk of my car just in case I spot the horses close to the fence line again. lol

Nice pony shot with a hint of the sky behind it. I got up before dawn also, and accomplishing nothing after three hours went back to be bed. Sorry now.

Funny perspective on this one since he's so close to the lens :) You still were able to capture some pretty color in the sky. You are dedicated to get out there so early on a weekend!
