Crystal Decanter

Tuesday 11th January 2005 - Day 24

What a day.... toothache was really bad today, dentist has identified an infection, so just patched the tooth up and left me with antibiotics for a while... its sort of settling down now.

Blowing a gale and driving rain today, which cheered up my mood even more. So I definitely didn'g fancy going out and getting wet again.

Then pbase has excelled itself. I did this, then have spent over 4 hours trying to upload, but hey, if you are reading this, then you know that. The photo was fun though.

How I did it at http://www.pbase.com/image/38535841

PS blending of two images using a layer mask, cropping and contrast adjustment

other sizes: small medium large auto

I Like how the stem nearly becomes one with the dark background and the lower part is very clear in color. Very beautiful. Four hours??? I would have stopped and came back later, but it was worth it, you are so dedicated!

Lee, this is fantastic! I especially like that you showed us how you did it. I'm always fascinated at all the creative things people think up for a PAD...even with a toothache :)

Hope you're feeling a bit better now.

Lovely 'crystal clear' pic!

I was frightened I'd seen the last of Pbase - have just spent the last hour backing up all of my pictures (I know, stupid not to have done it before now!)
