I covered the Monster Truck show for the local paper awhile back. My panning is getting better as I
practice more. I was able to follow each rider, while shooting a continuous burst from launch ramp to
land ramp on nearly every jump. These guys were about 40 feet in the air at the apex of their jumps.
Only once, when I had my focusing points set wrong and the camera ended up focusing on the crowd
instead of the rider, did I get blurry shots. Don't those empty seats
in this shot fool you, it was an almost sold out show.
