Looking north from the Kingsland Road grade crossing towards the South End Bellwood interlocking. The northbound signal is displaying a medium approach indication for an empty grain train. These are some of the last surviving SAL signals on the Bellwood Subdivision. In fact, the southbound signal (facing away from the camera) has been removed since this photo was taken. Milepost nine can be seen on the left side of the mainline and indicates we are nine miles south of Main Street Station where the Seaboard Air Line's milepost zero was located.
