This was what it was all about right as it was "secularized".
The Sonoma Mission was an incredible community, to say the least!
This painting was found outside under a covered work area; I
thought that was rather odd, as most of the paintings inside
were a noted Virgil Jorgensen Memorial Collection that showed
what the mission looked like in 1903-1905. I wonder if Chris,
(Virgils father & artist of the 61 paintings in the Memorial
Collection) had anything to do with this one..?
(I've enhanced this shot in many ways to make the lettering as dark
and as clear as possible without totally "blowing" the whole thing)
