From my gallery. “Canadian Rockies II”

Spirit Island is located in Maligne Lake in the Canadian Rockies. I had been to the Canadian Rockies five years ago but
never had the opportunity to take the boat trip to Spirit Island. We were given only about an hour
to try our luck with photographing the scene.

This is a six image HDR taken to deal with the high contrast in the scene and a six stop neutral density filter to
smooth the water. Thanks to George Stocking, the professional photographer leading the workshop,
for his help in improving the composition of this image.
