From my Gallery, “Photographs from Our Voyage to the Mediterranean”

On August 21, 2009 massive wildfires broke out in Grammatiko about 25 miles northeast of Athens and spread quickly toward the suburbs,
engulfing 14 towns within the next three days. On August 22 we were visiting a friend who lived in a suburb of Athens. This is
what we saw when we climbed the Acropolis.
