15th May 2011

I don't know where all these tall plants came from, friends! They weren't here last time we came through this field a few weeks ago.
I wonder if any squ*rrels could be using the plants as a hideout - can we go and see, Dad?

Dad: after months of delays, Poochgrandpa (my dad) is having his operation tomorrow to remove an atrial myxoma (benign heart tumour) and for heart bypass surgery.
He will be under the anaesthetic for several hours and it'll be quite an ordeal for someone of his age and health.
I know that if you can you will remember him in your prayers. http://www.pbase.com/poochdad/image/134170000

Will surely pray. Bypass heart surgery is much easier these days; they seem to have it down pat. My husband had 5-bypass two years ago and came through with flying colors.

Hey, sassy face. It must be chilly, you're wearing your vest.
