Today we went out for a snowy walky, friends! I was very glad because I've been having boring short walkies all this week because
the snow was too deep for me. It melted a bit yesterday although there is plenty left as you can see! I had a splendid squ*rrel chase
and did some digging in the snow too. It was fun!

Dad: before the usual comments about 'poor Pooch, why doesn't he have any boots' - say rather 'poor dad and mum' LOL.
Because he won't wear them. We've tried. Repeatedly we've tried and tried. He won't wear them, not any of them.
In terrier psychology terms it's very simple: 'NO BOOTS FOR ME!' ;-)

I used to have 2 wired haired terriers. They also had a mind of their own!!

I thought he looked as though he was up in the clouds too, nice shot! Others are right, boots are only needed when the dog is old and suffers in the cold, or is walking where there is a lot of salt used, or when they have a sore paw. I am happy that I found some that worked for Teddy and that he would wear.

Dogs don't need boots. That's a stupid idea. Only sled dogs who are running in snow for hours and hours... and that is more for friction than cold. Pooch is tough. He didn't like the cold, he wouldn't want to go out.

No Boots! means no boots EVER in Pooch´speak.
Only sledgedogs really needs boots, and dogs with sore paws.
The problem in the winter is that you have to remove the clumps of ice/snow from the dogs paws every ten minutes or so. But when it´s REALLY cold, like below -10 C, the snow doesn´t stuck.
Bonnie is into hare-chasing no, she spots them easily in the snow, they come to feed in the gardens in the winter. As good as squirrels! So she´s on leash.
And it´s snowing here again, or still...
