The depth of field was well my intent, together with the graphical effect of the broken tree. Honestly I didn't think about the opposition life-death. Now that you said it I must say it strikes me even more knowing that these flowers only exist for a few weeks: every year 2-3 weeks maximum.

Great use of depth of field. I don't know if it was your intent, but I like the scene of destruction/death juxtaposed within the beautiful background of flowers.
