Twenty (or Many) -plumed Moth (Alucita hexadactyla)

An unmistakeable moth with (apparently) 10 plumes to each wing.... well that ain't so! Plume numbers, as can be seen in this photo, vary between 9 and 12 on each wing. Individuals also vary in colour from greyish to (as in this case) light brown. This is one of my favorite insects!
