205-03-15: Tillandsia paucifolia

The flower buds are just starting to peek out from the bracts.
The speckles are the trichomes (peltate scales), characteristic
of the bromeliad family. They act as trap doors that open when
wet to let water in. They are most highly developed in Tillandsia.
