2005-01-26: More Snow

Cambridge, Massachusetts

Here we go again! Another coastal snowstorm.
This one seems pretty light. They were predicting
around 8 inches, but I don't think we'll get that much.

There's something about this photo that makes me nostalgic.
I like it very much.

John> The snow on the ground is the 30 inches from the Blizzard of '05 , with a couple inches of fresh powder from the beginning of this storm. It continued snowing all day but lightly.
Linda> Dawn is looking in the same direction (but different lens and angle).
Coleen> Our cat I Ching is going stir crazy -- the snow's just too deep for him to get out much.

Wow, lots of snow. It looks more than 8 inches.

It's an interesting scene. The high angle almost gives the sense of eavesdropping on this little community bordering the road. I like the color in the tree in contrast to the b & white of the rest of the photo. I'd love to see the same scene in different seasons too.

My relative who lives there says she is having a terrible time with her dog not wanting to go out in the snow. Guess the little dog must be standing at the door with her legs crossed after all the snow you've had in the past week. Doesn't look like too much activity in this photo. Hope you have some good books or lots of photos to edit.
