The image on the left was taken on Aug 28, 2010 and the one on the right was taken today. The water level behind the dam today is 693 feet (~211 meters). The dam's flood stage is 760 feet (~232 meters). The water is murky because it's snow melt and run off from recent rain. Any ice that hasn't melted is pushed up against the dam walls but down below it's flowing. Dams are amazing!
By the way this is the Mount Morris Dam in Mt Morris, NY within Letchworth State Park.
